What better way to showcase our new NetZero Ready Homes than by getting together some of our trade partners, industry consultants, and teammates for a video shoot? Watch our latest video to get a tour of what makes NetZero Ready Homes so special.
The Honourable Mayor Virginia Hackson of the Town of East Gwillimbury also joined us for the first day of our film shoot back in April, as well as Wil Beadmore from Bluewater Energy Monitoring, Andy Oding from Building Knowledge, Brian Cooke from Aerobarrier, Bob Smith from Lennox, Amber Stafford and Courtney-Anne Smith from Garden Party Toronto, Nelson Sousa from JELD-WEN, and Shanon Bertuzzi from EnerQuality. Each of our industry experts discussed the different features and technologies the homes have been built with and the significance of Acorn’s building process in developing a NetZero Ready Home.
The second day of the shoot concentrated on the exterior, where we had the Garden Party team walk us through the homes’ landscaping. Native Ontario plants were used to create different themes of gardens such like our Pollinator, Woodland, and Prairie Gardens, alongside a small community area complete with a children’s sensory garden (modeled after Edwards Garden’s Teaching Garden), community bench, and free library, all intended to invite passersby to relax and interact with the natural surroundings and to embrace a slower pace of life.
